This model réduit REE Modèles is a beautiful reproduction of a railcar from the Compagnie de chemins de fer départementaux (CFD) (reference VM039S). This is the railcar A 80 D Billard No. 31 also bearing the word Iroquois. This creamy red livery ran in France after the Second World War, where it was used on small provincial lines. Like the original, this replica is designed to run on a HOm scale metric track network. Axles for HOe tracks are also included in the pack.
This model railcar was manufactured in 32 examples by Etablissements Billard in Tours from 1936. It was an order from the Compagnie de chemins de fer départementaux, which at the time wanted a smalleconomical self-propelled railcar to serve the secondary lines of its network. This low-capacity rail vehicle had 32 seats. Fitted with a new generation of bogies, it was able to reach high speeds for its time, while offering improved comfort for passengers.
