A little history:
To replace the obsolete M 131.1 series wagons, the Czechoslovakians acquired new M 152.0 series two-axle diesel multiple units from the national railways. Powered by a 155 kW in-line six-cylinder engine, these units reached a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The interior offered 56 seats for passengers.
Over the years, numerous colour variations were introduced. In the 1980s, the variant with a beige lower stripe became predominant on Czechoslovak railways. After the division of the CSD, these wagons, with or without sidecars, were used throughout the Czech rail network (CD). The vehicles were delivered in series from 1975.
