A touch of history:
The F-16 Fighting Falcon, produced by General Dynamics from the late 1970s, was initially designed as a single-seat air superiority fighter for the U.S. Air Force. Over time, it gradually evolved into a multi-role fighter with remarkable operational flexibility. Easily recognisable thanks to its engine's ventral air intake and teardrop-shaped canopy, providing exceptional visibility for the pilot, the F-16 has incorporated innovations such as a side-mounted flight stick, fly-by-wire electric flight controls, and on-board avionics to facilitate piloting and combat.
Appreciated by pilots for its great manoeuvrability and reliability, the F-16 is equipped with a 20mm M61 Vulcan cannon. Thanks to its many carry points, it can carry a wide range of missiles and bombs. Used by numerous air forces around the world, the F-16 has carried out, often with great efficiency, a multitude of operational missions.
