A little bit of history:
The British Aerospace Sea Harrier is a VTOL/STOVL (short take-off and vertical landing) combat aircraft developed to equip the British Royal Navy. It entered service at the end of the 1970s, mainly dedicated to fleet air defence in the early 1980s. In 1982, when it was deployed on board HMS Invincible and HMS Hermes, it played a crucial role in the Falklands War, demonstrating its operational effectiveness. Despite subsonic flight characteristics inferior to those of competitors such as the Mirage III, the Sea Harrier stood out for its exceptional manoeuvrability and reliability in all combat conditions. Armed with two 30mm ADEN guns located under the fuselage and equipped with four pylons under the wings to carry air-to-air missiles, it was a formidable force.
