History:
The Renault 12 was launched in September 1969 in two versions L and TL. The latter featured door armrests, separate reclining front seats with a central armrest, a vanity mirror and boot lighting. The popular car of the 1970s, the R12 enjoyed enormous success during the decade, before disappearing from French ownership at the dawn of the 1980s. Introduced for the 1970 model year, the R12 replaced the R10 and became the Régie's new popular saloon.
