The brand new Mobile Control II is based on Android. A powerful foundation has been created for this open, global operating system: the ARM® Cortex® A8 microprocessor clocked at 1.3 GHz can access 1 GB of RAM and controls a high-resolution 3.2-inch TFT colour display. 4GB of flash memory is available for storing applications and data. A capacitive touchscreen ensures touchless input of all data. As well as a USB connection, a WLAN radio interface ensures communication with the outside world. Thanks to the standardised radio interface, trouble-free operation of your model railway system can be guaranteed at all times. With the help of WLAN repeaters, the radio range can be easily extended if required.
The built-in high-performance lithium-polymer battery will easily see you through even the longest days of operation. To charge, simply connect your Mobile Control II to your mobile phone's USB charger or any other USB port.
Thanks to the open platform, you can extend the range of functions at any time using additional apps from the Google Play Store.
Interaction
The Mobile Control II is perfectly coordinated for cooperation with ECoS digital centres: The ECoS synchronises all data with the radio remote control so you don't have to enter data locally. For solenoid accessories and routes, the correct names, addresses and symbols are of course also displayed.
Control locomotives
The Mobile Control II can control all locomotives configured in the ECoS and of course includes 14, 28 or 128 speed steps. All essential locomotive properties such as locomotive name, locomotive symbol, function key assignment and function key symbols are picked up by the ECoS and displayed correctly.
Up to 28 function keys can be switched per locomotive, which can of course be individually configured as permanent or momentary functions.
Switching solenoid elements
All solenoid elements and routes arranged on the ECoS interlock can be switched. Of course, the distinction between two-, three- and four-aspect solenoid elements is fully retained and the correct symbol is shown on the display.
More fun with the game
The Mobile Control II's high-resolution backlit TFT display (480 x 800 pixels, 280 dpi) always keeps you informed about the most important operating parameters. You can also see if a locomotive has been occupied by another player or if an emergency stop has been triggered on the network.
An intelligent connection
The Mobile Control II uses the WLAN standard to communicate with the ECoS. You therefore need to connect the control centre to a WLAN. If you already have a WLAN router (e.g. AVM® FritzBox®, you can easily connect the ECoS to it. The ECoS and Mobile Control II will find each other automatically.
If you don't want to connect your model railway to your home network or if you want to remain flexible for exhibitions, that's no problem either: On request, we can provide a mini access point for the Mobile Control II, which is child's play with the help of the ECoS should be set up in a few steps.
As your miniature railway grows, you can use up to 16 Mobile Control IIs with your ECoS. So, for example, each member of the association can control the locomotives intended for them.
