Faithful replica of Bran Castle, which was built in the 14th century in the municipality of Bran, Siebenbürgen, Romania, as a fortification and was later converted into a royal residence.
The multi-faceted layout of the castle, with its irregular floor plan and extravagant roof, has been developed through numerous modifications and extensions over the centuries.
The timber-framed inner courtyard is surrounded by the tall, square central tower with its mono-pitched roof and façade turret to the north, the main residence with its terraced roof and solid natural stone outer wall to the east, the guardhouse with its guardians' gate to the south and the gate to the east;east, the guardhouse with gatehouse and large external staircase leading to the château, a prominent staircase tower à conical roof and an annex for access to the park to the south, and a battery tower with a closed round tower preésent a conical roof in the south-west direction .
The model is also suitable for building a castle on the top of a hill or plain.
The castle, which is now used as a museum, is closely linked to the myth of the vampire Count Dracula.According to legend, the historical figure Vlad III, who at the time was the ruler of the Principality of Wallachia and perhaps the inspiration for Bram Stoker's famous fictional character, used the castle as his residence.
