This miniature wagon is a product offered by REE Modèles under the reference WB-711. It is a replica of an SCNF OCEM 19 wine tanker, delivered MITJAVILE, circulating in the South of France under this guise between 1946 and 1970. It reproduces many of the original details, such as the vehicle's platform and the logo of Etablissements Mitjavile, a transport company founded in 1894. In 1925, the company had a fleet of 600 tank wagons.
OCEM 19 wagons are tankers designed to transport various types of liquid (oil, wine, etc.) by rail. Designed after the First World War by OCEM, they have a short wheelbase chassis of 3.75 m, so that they can be used on all the networks of the time. Prior to the creation of the SNCF in 1938, there were a myriad of private railway companies that still had their own standards, which made it sometimes difficult to travel throughout the country.
