The fifth-generation LokSound decoder has been completely redesigned. Using a powerful new 32-bit processor, all the features of previously known LokSound decoders have been significantly enhanced: LokSound 5 decoders play up to 10 sound channels simultaneously, with each channel offering hi-fi quality thanks to 16-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 31250Hz ,
With a LokSound 5 decoder, the sound quality and dynamic range of your locomotives will almost match the original. The 128 Mbit noise storage provides sufficient capacity.
LokSound 5 decoders offer even better motor load regulation with clock speeds of up to 50 kHz and noise-optimised motor control, so that even bell or corridor-1 motors with excellent low-speed driving characteristics can now drive silently.
LokSound 5 decoders have numerous outputs for lighting control and additional functions. They can also control RC servos or SUSI modules.
Each LokSound 5 decoder is also a true multiprotocol decoder with the four well-known data formats: in addition to DCC with RailComPlus, they all include the M4 format and connect automatically to modern Märklin control centres. Support for Motorola and Selectrix means it can be used with older control panels.
In addition, all LokSound 5 decoders (even N tracks!) can operate on analogue DC and AC systems. The desired operating mode is automatically detected.
Depending on the CPU, up to 32 functions can be added, to which special functions can be assigned using the ESU's extremely flexible function mapping. Three new, individually adjustable brake controls and a two-stage heavy load simulation provide just as much joy to play with as the new random functions, with which lighting effects can also be randomly controlled. In order to meet different vehicle sizes and power requirements, LokSound 5 decoders are available in different versions.
