Esu offers a blank programmable 8-pin sound decoder for HO 1/87th scale under part number 58210.
This decoder will allow you to animate all your models whether locomotives, passenger carriages or even wagons with various sounds that you can install using the Esu decoder programmer sold separately.
The decoder programmer is under the reference Esu 53900 and allows you to install the desired sounds in blank sound decoders.

Esu's LokSound 5 Fx decoders in DCC use have 14 to 128 speed steps, CVs from 1 to 255, can have an address from 2 to 4 digits and up to 32 functions. With RailComPlus technology, decoders are recognised and detected automatically. They connect easily to the digital control unit. For use in Motorola systems, Esu LokSound V5 Fx decoders have up to 28 speed levels with 255 addresses and 16 functions.
