Introduction to the manufacturer Fleischmann,
The model railway brand originating from Germany, Fleischmann was founded in 1887 by Jean Fleischmann. But it was in1949, that the company created its first model train which was designed under the O: 1/45th scale. The company was subsequently acquired in 2008 by Modelleisenbahn GmbH.
It was in 2017, that the manufacturer Fleischmann decided to specialise in the design of products from model railways under the scale N: 1/160th. From now on, the production of equipment in the HO: 1/87th scale is reserved for the Roco brand, which currently belongs to the same group.
Like the Roco brand, the brand is characterised by their sense of detail, and the robustness of their products, which are designed from metallic materials. Their product comes as close to reality as possible, and for some (the Digitales Sound models) offers sound effects that are very well reproduced.
The brand also offers railway accessories (spare parts, tyres, couplers..) and digital modules (analogue controller, digital control unit, Digital Remote Control..).
