History:
The Renault 5 TL, more commonly known as the "R5" is an icon of French motoring. It was Pierre Dreyfus, CEO of the Reanult company at the time, who launched the 122 project, in which a very precise set of specifications aimed to revolutionise the car market by offering new features and sensations to French customers. And so it was that, in 1965, the first traces of the R5 were born, 7 years before it went on sale.
