A metal knocker comprises two steel legs and a wooden buffer, with the legs made from welded pieces cut from a metal beam, positioned outside the rails.
The HO-scale illuminated knocker is an easy-to-assemble kit, offering a remarkable level of detail with parts in clusters: legs and bumper in three-millimetre MDF, lamp and stand in one-millimetre birch plywood.
Fitting the lamp is optional, and the purple diode wires are varnished to prevent short circuits. It finds applications in depots, sidings, industrial sidings, etc.
