A touch of history:
The Porsche 911, an icon of German automotive engineering, saw the light of day in 1964 as a luxury sports car created from the ground up by Porsche. Sixty years on, this iconic model retains its distinctive allure while evolving with the release of the latest version, the Porsche 911 type 992. Its rear flat-six engine, an immutable feature, remains unchanged, with the exception of the Porsche 991 RSR, a racing car with a rear mid-engine.
Over the years, the Porsche 911 has gone through eight generations, drawing the admiration of collectors for its older models. On 11 May 2017, a significant milestone was reached with the production of the one millionth Porsche 911 at the Zuffenhausen plant. This unique model, a 911 Carrera S Coupé customised by the Porsche Exclusive department, sports a special 'Irish Green' livery. Touches of wood adorn the steering wheel, gear lever, dashboard and leather and fabric upholstery, paying homage to the original 1963 model with the pepita motif. The rev counter proudly displays the number "1,000,000". This exceptional creation now joins the prestigious collection of the Porsche Museum.
