The Second Armoured Division, nicknamed the 2e D.B, was a unit of the French army during the Second World War. It was one of the symbols of Free France under German occupation. Subordinate to the British army, it took part in numerous operations in Africa and on the continent. Equipped with American equipment, including half-tracks, it took part in the liberation of France during the Normandy campaign in 1944. In particular, it liberated Alençon, before heading for Paris. This army corps then numbered nearly 14,000 men.
This pack of miniature figures features six soldiers of the 2nd DB in action. It includes:
- two drivers of half-tracks, armoured vehicles of the US Army. These legless figures can be installed behind the wheel of the miniature vehicles in your diorama.
- six standing soldiers in offensive postures.
The REE brand figures are renowned for their level of finish. The colour of these soldiers' uniforms includes many shades. This is particularly appreciable in the HO scale.
