Presentation of the Steam Locomotive:
Built from 1913 to 1920 in France and Great Britain, the 140 C are mythical machines that ran on the French network on the East and West regions. The 140 C 38 was one of the last steam engines to run in commercial service in France, in 1975. Their tenders could carry 18 m3 of water and 5 tonnes of coal. Depending on the era and the region to which they were assigned, they wore different liveries, ranging from solid black to black with a green boiler and polished brass hoops. In addition, red or yellow fillets change the overall appearance of the machine: these are variations offered by JOUEF.
