REE Modelses (MIKADOTRAIN) offers a Analog EAD X-4502 and its XRAB-8545 trailer, delivered red/cream and red roof, scale N 1/160th, under reference NW169.
Characteristic of the scale model:
- Socket NEM NEXT18 for digitisation on the locomotive and NEM 651 on the trailer.
- Two lights and a lantern-carrier in place of the upperfanal, two rear lights.
- Inversion of lights depending on direction of travel.
- Windscreen with corner window and grey side window trunks.
A bit of history:
The X-4500s are double-deck railcars (power car + trailer), 2nd in the family nicknamed "CARAVELLES". They are part of the Éléments Automoteurs Diesel (EAD) family and ran on the French network from 1963 to 2010. At the time of delivery, these self-propelled units were fitted with the exterior decoration in vogue in the 1960s: red and creamy white on the upper section. The interior layout included five seats abreast on 2nd class benches.
The difference between them and the first series of X-4300s was a Saurer engine, replacing the customary Poyaud engine. However, the De Dietrich mechanical transmission gearbox remains the same. REE Modèles, otherwise known as "Rail Europe Express", designs model railway products, mainly in HO: 1/87th scale. The company designs all types of rolling stock, including locomotives, wagons, carriages and TGVs. The brand draws its inspiration from real-life models to reproduce them to perfection in miniature versions, using plastic and metal materials.
