Presentation of the model:
The hopper wagons were put into service in order to carry out so-called "gravity unloading". In fact, these unloadings are carried out from below or on the side and guided by a hopper.
Unloading can be carried out manually or automatically thanks to the opening of the hoppers directed by a mechanical or electromechanical system.
The use of these wagons are varied, they can be operated for the transport of :
- minerai
- ballast and track unloading
- salt
- grain cereals
