The Scalextric ARC PRO system represents a major advance in the digital control of slot car racing. It allows users to create and manage races wirelessly via a portable smart device. By combining Scalextric's revolutionary ARC PRO power base with this innovative application, users can merge the excitement of real-time racing on the track with the fun of on-screen gaming.
ARC PRO takes racing to the next level by offering multi-car racing for up to 6 vehicles, lane changing, individual pit lane stops, Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), as well as elements such as variable weather conditions, tyre wear, fuel usage, brakes and detailed post-race statistics.
All the features already present in ARC AIR are included, such as lane changing, multi-car management and KERS boost. For the best experience, additional accessories such as the Pit Lane ( C7015 ), single-lane half-straights ( C7016 ), and ARC AIR/PRO wireless controller ( C8438 ) are recommended.
If you plan to run up to 6 cars simultaneously, we recommend adding a second power source, a P9300 transformer, in addition to the one included in this ARC PRO Powerbase upgrade kit, to ensure maximum performance.
For the full racing experience, please add, as a minimum, the following items, not included in the C8435P kit:
- 1 Scalextric decoder per car, with part numbers C8515, C8516 or C7005 depending on car model.
- 1 double lane change switch rail (51.7 cm) with reference C7036.
If you wish to extend your possibilities, you can also purchase:
- 4 Scalextric decoders to equip 4 additional cars, allowing up to 6 cars to run simultaneously.
- 4 wireless accelerators (ref. C8438) for an unrestricted racing experience with up to 6 cars on track.
- Additional double changeover switch rails (ref. C7036).
- 1 pit-lane with references C7014 or C7015.
On this circuit in digital mode, only Scalextric cars equipped with a Scalextric digital decoder C8515, C8516, or C7005 (or cars of another make with a Scalextric digital decoder) may be used. As Scalextric does not offer cars with a pre-installed digital decoder, the purchase of an analogue Scalextric car also requires the acquisitionand installation of a digital decoder.
Most Scalextric cars are equipped with the "DPR" (Digital Plug Ready) system: integrated wiring allowing easy connection of a digital decoder. In less than 5 minutes, an analogue car can be transformed into a digital car by swapping the analogue hatch under the chassis with the digital hatch. Scalextric offers three references of digital decoders:
- C8515 : For "DPR" GT or rally cars.
- C8516 : Intended for "DPR" Formula 1 and karting cars.
- C7005 : Suitable for non-"DPR" Scalextric cars (vintage) and cars of other makes, requiring more complex installation with a soldering iron.
Some cars cannot be digitised due to their small size or engine layout. A switch on the "Arc Pro" base switches from digital to analogue mode, providing a "classic" circuit for running two cars without using the turnouts.
Each Scalextric wireless throttle requires two 1.5-volt batteries (AA or LR6). The track can be expanded by purchasing track packs or individual tracks. A variety of Scalextric 1/32 cars are available, and analogue cars of all makes in this scale are compatible with Scalextric rails, with the exception of Carrera cars which require a guide modification or the purchase of a specific guide.

This is a non-competitive mode where drivers strive to achieve the best time over a certain number of laps.

Competitive mode where drivers compete for a specified number of laps.
4 ) Endurance
Competitive racing mode where drivers compete for a predetermined amount of time.
5 ) Tournament
Competitive mode where drivers compete over a set number of laps or for a specific duration.
6 ) Drag
Competitive racing mode where drivers compete over a long straight. The output sensor on the powerbase represents the finish line, and the acceleration band can be as long as desired.

Lap Counting & Timing
Monitor your current and remaining lap times visually.
Tire Wear
Add an extra dimension to your race by observing the wear of your tyres and choosing the right time to replace them.
Fuel Usage
When your car runs out of fuel, pit stops are necessary. Miss the pits and risk disqualification.
False Start Penalty
Allows you to define the duration of the penalty for a driver making a false start.
Type End of Race
Determines when the race will end. In "Standard" mode, the race ends once each driver has crossed the line after the winner. In "Finish All" mode, the race ends only when each driver has completed the entire race.
