The brand REE Modèles offers a B9c9x bed car, in the scale N: 1/160th under the reference NW-219, which has the following characteristics:
- Short coupling kinematics according to NEM 355 standard.
- Second-class railway model featuring a "160" green livery.
- Bodywork, interior and printing very detailed to get as close as possible to the original model.
- Function under direct current 2 rails.
A little touch of history:
The type Y cars otherwise called UIC (Union Internationale des Chemins de Fer), were put into service by the SNCF company. They were designed by DEV (Division des études des voitures) and delivered under 1327 between 1963 and 1976.
Several series appeared namely:
- 185 type A9.
- 53 type A4B5.
- 305 type B10.
- 43 type A7D.
- 118 type B5D.
- 175 type A4c4B5c5.
- 448 type B9c9.
These railway carriages could reach a top speed of 160 km/h! Most of these models have been reformed, while the others were used for special trains around 2006.
