- Digitally switchable LED interior lighting. The cab is also illuminated. Wagon lighting can be controlled digitally using the decoder present in this controlled car.

- Separable, current-carrying and digitally switchable coupler kinematics.
- Car with triple headlights and two red position lights, switched on conventionally, and digitally switchable.
- Version with small tail lights at the top and monobloc windows at the end of the model.
- Heavy Minden-Deutz type bogie with double block brake. Bogie located forward with rail scraper, Sifa, Indusi electrical box and D 62 generator.
- Parts applicable separately: A toilet downpipe and push-pull control cable are included, to use this product in a showcase.

This pilot car was put into service by the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) railway company for light express trains (LS). This car is also commonly referred to as the "Central Entrance Car".

The manufacturer Trix designs miniature trains under the scale HO: 1/87th. These rolling stock are renowned for their robustness and their sense of detail that is as close as possible to the original models. Trix mainly produces motrices under a direct current, operating system called "2 rails". But most of their products are also designed under an alternative "3 rail" system by manufacturer Marklin.
