Focus on the TEE Mistral passenger train:
The Mistral was an SNCF Trans-Europ-Express high-speed train running between Paris and Nice between 1950 and 1982, just a few months after the TGV Sud-Est entered service in 1981.
This train soon received specific first-class carriages, designed for a demanding clientele. This included the arrival of the TEE Inox "Mistral 69" carriages in February 1969, with bogies providing increased comfort and powerful brakes to ensure a running speed of 160 km/h in complete safety.
The last TEE Mistral left Paris Lyon station, hauled by locomotive CC 6572, on 26 September 1981
