This model train is a beautiful reproduction from the modelling brand LS Models (référence LS472003). The original is a passenger carriage of the first and second class of the Swiss Federal Railways operating in the 70s and 80s. This rebuilt model is designed to run on a miniature rail network, the HO scale. It mimics many of the features found on the actual scale, such as the interior layout of the 10 compartments, which has been reproduced. The exterior of this livery is also very faithful to the original. The silver roof, the green walls and the former logo of the Swiss railway company are truly distinctive.
TheUIC-X passenger carriages were standardised by the International Union of Railways in the early 1960s. The Swiss Federal Railways acquired two series in the 60s and 70s. Equipped with Schliere bogies, these coaches could reach speeds of 160 km/h. The ABm livery entered service in 1971. It had 20 passenger carriages. Each car had 10 compartments.
