The Lails type 3-axle sheeted wagon is a type of wagon used in the 1970s by the SNCF, Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français, for the transport of goods. It is fitted with a tarpaulin to protect the cargo from bad weather. Articulated wagons of the Lails type were created, offering the possibility of carrying out loading and unloading operations laterally or vertically. From 1976 onwards, the Lails wagons used for traffic with the Iberian peninsula were modified, to allow axles to be changed at the Franco-Spanish border
