Volvo 343: small, but tough
This Volvo is a compact saloon released in 1975. The 343 version is a three-door vehicle - the 345 five-door version came out a few years later. This model was designed by Giovanni Michelotti, a legend in the world of car design. In the mid-1970s, small cars were in vogue. The original Volvo 343 was equipped with an automatic transmission and safety disc brakes - a must for the brand. This model was modernised several times - in 1978 it was fitted with a 4-speed gearbox. Volvo produced almost 1.1 million models until 1991, when production ceased. The Volvo 343 was a popular success!
