This set of model railcars in N scale is signed Hobbytrain (référence 24202). It contains tworail vehicles of the K2 Gklm type. This rolling stock is a type of unified wagon used by SBB to transport freight.
The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Switzerland's state-owned railway company, was formed from the merger of several private transport companies in 1903. However, before this merger, these companies had decided to unify some of their rolling stock. In 1902, in particular, they acquired freight wagons of the K2 type. These vehicles were recognisable by their restricted length - it measured just 7.1 m for 12.5 tonnes. It could load up to 44 m3 of goods. SBB developed this towed equipment over many decades, so that some examples were in circulation right up to the early 1980s. These miniature wagons reproduce a livery dating back to the IV era.
