A little touch of history :
Arbel-Fer was a French companyspecialising in the construction of railway rolling stock, including hopper wagons. It was set up in 1976 and supplied hopper wagons to SNCF, which used them for the transport of bulk goods. However, Arbel-Fer was absorbed by the Akiem companyin 2010, and the production of wagons-hoppers was taken over by other manufacturers.
Montenay was a French company that exploited limestone quarriesand produced granulates. It also owned a fleet of hopper wagons specially designed for the transport of its products. These wagons were often used to transport granulates from the Montenay quarries to various destinations, including the shunting yards of the SNCF.
La Gare des Mineswas a railway facility located in Paris, in France. It was used as a transhipment point for bulk goods, including construction materials such as aggregates, sand, coal, etc. Hopper wagons were used to transport these goods to the Gare des Mines. However, it should be noted that La Gare des Mines was closed in 2003.
