The wagons-trémies ex-SGW (Société Générale de Wagons) Sogewag of the SNCF were hopper wagons owned by a subsidiary of the SNCF called Sogewag.
Sogewag was a company set up in 1978 with the aim of managing part of the wagon park of the SNCF. These hopper wagons were used for the bulk transport of goods such as grain, coal, minerals, etc. They were specifically designed with unloading hatches located underneath to allow rapidand efficient unloading of the bulk contents.
