These scale models are HO scale reproductions of SNCF ex-PLM 4-door tombereau wagons. They are offered by REE Modèles under the reference WB-819.
From 1857 to 1938, the Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée (PLM) managed an extensive network linking the Mediterranean regions of France with Paris and Lyon. When the SNCF was created in 1937, PLM was integrated into the new entity, enabling the SNCF to recover PLM's dumper wagons. These wagons were specially designed to transport bulk goods such as coal, gravel, sand and other materials. Their originality lay in their low walls and doors that opened to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods.
