A little touch of history:
The tractors in this model were fitted with two 207hp Poyaud engines, housed individually under covers at the ends of the chassis. They were cooled by a powerful fan occupying the entire front of the tractor.
A raised central cab, offering a panoramic view, grouped all the controls on a functional console. The fuel tank was positioned under the cab, while the auxiliaries were housed under the bonnet of each unit. The chassis and buffer crossmembers were designed to allow both narrow-gauge and standard-gauge traffic.
Access to the engines was from the ends, while access to the cab was in the middle of the side face, thanks to a system of steps and handrails.
The unit allocated to Le Cheylard sported a light green paintwork, enhanced by a yellow stripe on the upper part of the engine bonnets and chassis. The latter had a darker shade of green. The large buffers were painted yellow, edged in red and marked '040-003' on the right-hand side, with the Company's initials on the left. The rectangular builder's plate was fixed to the chassis at cab level.
