Modelbex offers a fabulous Locomotive à Vapeur 231 G 139 Digitale sonore en livrée Noir et Vert du dépôt de Calais, à l'échelle HO : 1/87ème sous référence MX.001/7BS.
Characteristic of the scale model:
This prestigious Model is of the most exceptional realism: The machine's body is made of brass, the chassis are made of injected metal, and every detail specific to the original model finds its place. This locomotive can therefore be used on your miniature layout or displayed in a shop window.
The axles are motorised and benefit from quality grip bandings. The power take-off is from both the Locomotive and the tender.
This magnificent locomotive also features spring-loaded buffers.
The lighting is meanwhile reversible depending on the direction of travel and the locomotive has many sound and light features thanks to its LockSound decoder!
A touch of history :
The 213 G locomotives were born in 1934, from the transformation of locomotives designed in 1908: the 231 D and then the 231 F. In 1931 and 1932, when Compagnie PLM received its last new "PACIFIC" 231 Fs from Schneider, they were already machines with outdated performance. Thanks to the 231 G, it was sometimes possible to tow more than 600 tonnes of goods, at an average speed of 110 km/h, with peaks of more than 138 km/h at times! A real record for the time.
