Ree Modèles offers the SNCF world record set, featuring the CC7107 and its frame of DEV cars, analogue, H0 1/87th scale, under reference CM004.
Characteristic of the Reduced Model:
Models very finely reproduced, inlimited series / Ree collection. The Chassis is die-cast metal, and the machine benefits from a flywheel motor. The carriages are, identical to the real model, streamlined.
This trainset also has white and red front and rear lights, reversible depending on the direction of travel. This "world record" set is designed for "2 rail", continuous current (CC) operation.
A bit of history:
It was on 28 March 1955 at Labouheyre, that theCC 7107 broke the world rail speed record, with a peak speed of 331 km/h, beating the previous record then held by its sister the CC 7121, which had reached the speed of 243 km/h on 21 February 1954.
This electric locomotive, with its 107 tonnes, its 6 driving axles, its 19 metres in length and its power of 4740 hp, was towing for the occasion 3 DEV U46 C10 coaches careened for the occasion.
