In terms of diesel locomotive construction, Vossloh locomotive is one of the main leaders in the European market. Mehano (or IHC in the US) is a Slovenian model railway brand. It was founded in 1952, under the name Mehanotechnika. In 2009, this former subcontractor of the French brand Jouef relaunched its activities by ending production in Slovenia and producing low-cost equipment.
It produces all types of railway equipment (wagons, carriages, locomotives), often American, from different eras (I, II, III, IV, V or even VI) and also a wide range of starter sets. In general, the manufacturer designs products mainly in HO scale: 1/87th.
The Mehano brand is characterised by the manufacture largely of entry-level equipment, with a simple finish and basic operation. Even so, we can see this company's desire to also offer better quality equipment through their prestige range.
The brand also offers track equipment (rails, points, track boxes, railway bridges, etc...) and remains specialised in analogue technology for the most part.
