The
Presentation of the wagon under reference 47807:
For use in 3-rail version: Essieux reference MARKLIN E700580.
Container wagons are used for the transport of goods. In addition to its chassis and traction components, these wagons can be equipped with stakes and sideboards to support and retain heavy loads.
Invulnerable to bad weather (rain, snow..) and equipped with a reinforced structure, these wagons were robust and could transport heavy goods (metal bars) or light goods in large quantities (straw under tarpaulin, insulating materials..).
Other specific wagons were subsequently created, such as:
- low-flat wagons "wagons-chars": lowered chassis for loading large products
- container-carrying wagons "wagons squelettes": fitted with standardised fixing pins for transporting containers or swap bodies. Had a chassis that was lightened as much as possible and made entirely of metal sections.
- log-carrying wagons: for transporting logs or logs
- sheet-carrying wagons: reinforced chassis for transporting thick, heavy sheet metal or foundry parts.
- chassis wagons: 45° inclined chassis for transporting wide parts
- moving crossbeam wagons: for transporting long products
