It was designed as a bogie wagon with a steel structure and wooden side walls, like the other OCEM 30 series vans. It was equipped with sliding doors on the sides to facilitate loading and unloading. It is important to note that the term 'ex-PO' indicates that these vans were formerly operated by the Compagnie du Chemin de Fer de Paris à Orléans (PO) before the nationalisation of the French rail network in 1938, which gave birth to the SNCF.
