Presentation of the CC 6500 Electric Locomotive,
The CC 6500 series electric locomotives were put into service on SNCF railway lines. These locomotives were built by the French company Alstom. At the time, these were the most powerful machines, belonging to the "Nez cassés" family. Variants were delivered during the years 1964 to 1999 in France, but also worldwide.
They are derived from the CC 40100 and CC 72000, and use certain elements of these models, such as the bogies and part of their body. Finally, this series also includes the dual-current CC 21000 and the single-phase AC CC 14500.
Manufacturer Jouef,
French model railway brand Jouef was founded in 1944 by Georges Huard. One of the largest Jouef model train design factories was located in Champagnole, just 30 minutes from our Jura Modélisme company. Jouef has belonged to the Hornby group since October 2004.
The brand is characterised by its attention to detail and robustness, which are essentially designed from moulded plastic in HO scale: 1/87th.
Jouef produces all types of railway equipment (wagons, carriages, locomotives) from different eras (I, II, III, IV, V or VI).
