The ESU brand offers a 16 input "Railcom" detector "ECoSDetector"under part number 50094 compatible for all scales of model railroading.
Also compatible with Marklin digital control units.
This module allows you to automate your 2 rail or 3 rail network! You'll be able tolocate the location of each associated engine and set various options, supporting up to 16 blocks and up to 4 track sections. You'll be able to add new automated features by regularly upgrading your ECoSDetector module.
Additional information about the ESU module,
This module is capable of detecting up to 16 track sections on 2 rails (DC) or 3 rails (AC). Each ECoSDetector can identify up to four different locomotives simultaneously, provided the detectors used are RailCom. With the ECoSDetector Extension module, you can add up to 32 outputs, displaying the status of the sections thanks to control LEDs.
Enables detection and feedback,
Each of the 16 inputs used has a maximum current capacity of 3A. The module is also equipped with two separate power inputs that can be supplied by two Booster units. The choice of two-rail or three-rail operating mode is made quickly, thanks to the "jumper" functionality.
The system features "Reed" and toggle switches, sense track sections and push buttons, all of which can be connected to the inputs. The information is then processed and displayed on the control station.
Allows occupied track sections to be identified directly from the control station,
In addition to conventional track occupancy detection, each ECoSDetector has the ability to monitor 4 of the 16 track sections via RailCom's "local detectors". This makes it possible to know the location of each locomotive benefiting from this system. However, this functionality is only available using RailCom-compatible decoders.
Advanced automation system,
By knowing the position of each locomotive, it is possible to use the control module to take advantage of various additional automated functions (such as the horn, for example). Iit is also possible to modify the switching inputs or electronically track the presence detectors to ensure safe action of the rail model in the event of unreliable contact or denigrated tracks.
ECoSlink connection,
Each ECoSDetector can be directly connected to the control station via the ECoSlink module. "The galvanic isolation"of the ECoSlink and Control Station systems, ensures more reliable operation and data transmission.
Evolutive,
If required, the ECoSDetector software can be upgraded to add new features. The command station, meanwhile, will perform the updates required automatically. This will ensure that the ECoSDetector remains in the most recent and optimal state possible.
