A touch of history:
The T16 and T16.1 steam locomotives were put into service by the Railways of the Kingdom of Prussia (KPEV) from 1906 to 1924. Following the armistice commission, Compagnie du chemin de fer Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée inherited thirty-one machines divided into the following series: 5801 to 5807, then 5 AT 1 to 7 of type T16.0, 5808 to 5812, then 5 AT 8 to 12 of the normal T16 type, and finally 5813 to 5831, then 5 AT 13 to 31 of the T16.1 type.
The whole of this series was recovered by the SNCF and registered 5-050 TA 1 to 31, distributed between the Miramas, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Ambérieux and Lyon-Vaise depots. These locomotives were withdrawn from service around 1953.
