Presentation of the locomotive under reference 10825,
The models CC 6500 is a series of electric locomotives operated by the railway company SNCF which was produced by the company Alstom.
This series was the most powerful electric locomotives during the 1970s. These were the most powerful machines from which they earned the nickname "Broken Noses", variants of which were delivered between 1964 and 1999 in France and throughout the world. This series derives from the CC 40100 and the CC 72000 (in particular by taking over their bogie and part of their body).
Originally, Paul Arzens designed the original design dressing them in a metallic grey, Capitol red and orange livery. Three sub-series were designed and delivered to the SNCF from 3 August 1969 to 4 June 1975. The first and second were intended for passenger train traction. Then the third, thanks to their rubbers for third rails, were specialised in using the "Maurienne" line between Chambéry and Modane.
