This model from Roco (réf. 70768) is an HO-scale reproduction of the locomotive diesel 218 433-1 from Deutsche Bahn, the German state railway. This locomotive is one of the 398 218 series locomotives put into service from 1971 by Deutsche Bundesbahn, the FRG's rail company, which disappeared after German unification. This rolling stock is used for passenger and freight transport on the unregulated lines of the German rail network. In 2023, these machines, which can reach speeds of 140 km/h, are still in service in the dépôts of Ulm, Kempten and Mühldorf am Inn.
