A little touch of history:
The Seute 50, probably DB's most important steam locomotive of the 1950s/60s with numerous design variants, had proved itself in front of almost every type of train on the main and branch lines of that era. After all, more than 60 major variants meant that virtually no 50 series locomotive looked the same as a sister locomotive. The 1&39;E freight locomotives, which were built in some 3,100 units from 1939 onwards, were considered robust, powerful, easy to maintain and extremely reliable. After 1945, more than 2,000 locomotives remained with the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The locomotives had a top speed of 80 km/h, a power rating of around 1,200 kW and an axle load of 15 tonnes.
When the computerised system was introduced in 1968, there were still 1,452 locomotives of this type in the DB fleet. As the serial number could only consist of three digits, the designations 051, 052 and 053 were introduced in addition to the serial number 050.
The DB fleet was still made up of these locomotives.
Roco manufacturer presentation,
Austrian-born rail modelling brand Roco was founded in 1960 by Heinz Rössler. The manufacturer specialises in the design of products based on railway models.
Roco produces all types of railway equipment (wagons, carriages, locomotives) from the various eras (I, II, III, IV, V and VI). In general, the manufacturer produces products in a range of scales, including HO: 1/87; N: 1/160 and TT: 1/120.
The brand is characterised by their sense of detail, and the robustness of their products, which are made from metallic materials. Their products are as close as possible to the real thing, and some of them (the Digitales Sound models) offer highly realistic sound effects.
The brand also offers railway accessories (damaged parts, tyres, couplers, etc.) and digital modules (analogue control unit, digital control unit, digital remote control, etc.).
