This scale model is an N-scale replica of Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) diesel locomotive 112 311-6. It is offered by Fleischmann under the reference 7370006.
The 112 311-6 diesel locomotive was operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR), the GDR's railway company. For the record, in 1972 the DR equipped the first three series 110 locomotives with a 1200hp diesel engine. Between 1981 and 1990, around 500 locomotives were upgraded to 1200 hp (883 kW) at the Raw Stendal factory, using 12 KVD 18/21 AL-4 and AL-5 engines. These locomotives were subsequently renamed the 112 series.
