A little history:
The diesel-electric locomotives T 478.1 and T 478.2 are universal models. Their nickname "Bardotka" comes from their distinctive appearance, inspired by the French actress Brigitte Bardot. Between 1966 and 1971, the CKD factory in Prague built 230 locomotives in this series for the former CSD.
In 1988, with the introduction of computerised locomotive numbers, these locomotives were renamed 751 or 752. Since 1998, the CD's 751 series locomotives have sported a uniform grey/red paint scheme and are mainly dedicated to freight.
