Fleischmann is a model making brand that offers the Electric locomotive 112 311-6, in scale N: 1/160th under reference 7360006, which has the following characteristics:
- Model operating under direct current "2 rails".
- Die-cast metal chassis.
- Coupling with short kinematics in accordance with standard NEM 355.
- Railway machine fitted with 2 traction tyres, 4 powered axles and a 3 Pole motor.
- Locomotive fitted with a Next18 digital interface, for possible digitisation.
- Power car fitted with a LED white / red Lantern (3 front lights and 2 rear lights) reversible depending on the direction of travel.
A little history:
In 1972, the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the former GDR also took three 110-series trainsets with a 1,200hp diesel engine, which also proved excellent in express service. The fluid transmission and other components were adapted accordingly. Between 1981 and 1990, there were further conversions (around 500 locomotives) to 1200 hp (883 kW) at Raw Stendal using 12 KVD 18/21 AL-4 and AL-5 engines. These locomotives were designated the 112 series.
