Thismodel train from Hobbytrain (Réf. 28250) is an N-scale replica of a German diesel locomotive, as operated in 1965 by Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB), the railway company of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). It was originally part of a series of manoeuvring locomotives used by the German Army, the Wermacht. Built at the end of the 1930s, this series was named WR360 C14, the abbreviation for the army's 360 hp standard gauge locomotive, axle type C and axle load of 14 tonnes. After the Second World War, the remaining locomotives of the series were renamed V36, and then distributed between the Deutsche Bundesbahn in the FRG and the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the GDR. Some examples were also abandoned in various countries at the end of the conflict, such as Belgium and Austria. The DB used them to push passenger carriages in push-pull trains.
