A little history:
In the 1960s, the Deutsche Bundesbahn introduced the E 03 series, which was then the most powerful electric locomotive designed for passenger train transport. Between 1970 and 1974, a total of 145 locomotives from this series were built and officially designated as the 103.1 series. Aesthetically, the 103 series locomotives are still considered to be among the most elegant electric locomotives today. It should be noted that the locomotives were originally fitted with scissor pantographs until company number 215.
