A little history:
Rolling Stock Lease has leased ten new Vectron locomotives from Budamar, three of which have already been purpose-built. Each of these locomotives is dedicated to Slovakia's famous bridges, chosen for their symbolism as key connection points and landmarks. What's more, these bridges are important architectural masterpieces, which links them closely to the company's design, "Architects of Logistics".
One of these bridges is the Chmarošský viaduct, which adorns locomotive number 383 220. It is located in the heart of Slovakia, crossing an 18-metre-high valley and stretching over a length of 114 metres. This bridge is located on a non-electrified road, mainly used by tourists during the summer season.
These Vectron locomotives run not only in Slovakia, but also in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany and Austria, while serving destinations throughout Europe.
