A little history:The Siemens Smartron is a member of the locomotive family from German rail vehicle manufacturer Siemens Mobility, based on the Siemens Vectron model.
It was presented by Siemens on 1 March 2018. The Smartron is a simplified version of the Siemens Vectron.
The vehicle is only available in a pre-configured version that has already been approved for Germany.
Other approvals exist for Romania and Bulgaria.
