This modèle réduit from the railroad modélism brand Roco is a réproduction à HO scale of the electric locomotive E 52 03 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB). The national railway company of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) operated from 1949 to 1993, when it became part of Deustche Bahn. It operated the E 52 03 locomotive, a 140-tonne steel monster. This electric locomotive was one of the heaviest ever built in Germany. It had a power output of 2,200 kW. It could reach a top speed of 90 km/h. This powerful machine was used to pull long passenger trains on the lines of the West German rail network after the Second World War.
This model from Roco reproduces some of the original details with great finesse, such as the metal wheels, adjustable access ladders and pantographs. This bottle-green livery has plenty of style.
