Models 030 TU are steam locomotives imported from the United States by the American army during the liberation of Europe under the name USATC S100.
They were put into service during the war being used to shunt the trains of the "Transportation Corps of the United States Army" (USATC).
Three Americans were designed these machines, namely:
1. Davenport Locomotives Works in Davenport, Iowa,
2. H. K. Porter in Pittsburgh
3. Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes-Barre (Pennsylvania).
The rail company SNCF, received 77 power cars. Subsequently, the Régie départementale des Bouches-du-Rhône, also owned 3 machines numbered 40, 41 and 42.
